Hi folks,
The only reported issue right now in guile-gtk 0.18pre is that
it does not works with Gtk_1.3.x
We have two options:
1)Ignore the problem and release, and adress the problem in 0.19
2)Work on it and delay guile-gtk
I move for selecting 1 as for I really don't think there are many of us
using Gtk+1.3 and 'tis better to have the release.
I plan to release tomorrow.
ariel

What about waiting for Ole Myren Rohne's patch? But I agree that we
can just ignore Gtk+ 1.3 for the release because there hasn't been
much interest in keeping CVS current.
We should note this fact on the release notes, tho, in NEWS.

I just found out that class creation has changed completely in 1.3
(see glib/gobject) and it isn't really clear to me whether dynamic
class creation is supported at this point.
The possibility of creating custom widgets from guile was my reason
for using gtk+ 1.3 in the first place, this means that I'll stay with
a slightly stale version of gtk+ 1.3 for my private use - at this
point I cannot provide a patch to make guile-gtk work with current
gtk+ 1.3
Regards, Ole

Aha, I see. I will put some notes about this on the guile-gtk-TODO
page. Hopefully, we can address them for 0.19.
