guile-gtk-0.18?

guile-gtk-0.18?

Hi,

I want to release guile-gtk-0.18 soon, to go with the first release of
gossip-ed ( http://gossip.sourceforge.net ).

Are their any objections?  Can anybody on this list please try out the
latest CVS version and report any problems.

slightly offtopic...is there any chance of getting selection-related
functionality included?

Uh oh, what's the status on this?

I don't think it will go into 0.18 if there is some significant work
to do, but when it's only a patch to apply...

I wouldn't have much problems with releasing 0.19 a few weeks later,
anyway.

my apologies if i mislead -- i don't think there is any code (i was
hoping someone might have been working on some), so the point is moot.
it was wishful thinking on my part as an application i am working on
needs the selection-related code :-)

Hmm, yes, I remember vaguely.  There was probably some reference
counting issue there, wasn't it?  Maybe we should start a list of
problem areas that need to eb addressed.  That way, they wouldn't be
forgotten so easily by the people who can actually solve them but
don't the functionality.

something to do w/ constructing a special interface for
GtkSelectionData to make it safe for guile-gtk.  some of the relevant
