Hi,
from your clue, i searched the mailing list and found some info from the below link
http://sources.redhat.com/ml/insight/2003-q3/msg00004.html
After making all the dlls +x, i am getting below error.
Cann't find usable main.tcl in the below paths. But there is a main.tcl file existing in one of the path.
Why i am asking this doubt is because my hardware is perfectly working on insight-5.1.1 on linux. As it is i want to use on cygwin.
Waiting for your suggations...
thanks
vadiraj

Well, that's (slightly) better at least...

Insight is apparently complaining that either:
1) main.tcl is not found in its search path OR
2) main.tcl contains an error
First thing I would try is setting the environment variable
"GDBTK_LIBRARY" to point at the directory containing main.tcl, which is
usually INSTALLDIR/share/insight1.0 (although with 5.1 it is probably
called INSTALLDIR/share/gdbtcl). I suspect that your installation may be
grabbing a newer version of the file.

Unlikely. 5.1.1 is several years old.

I vaguely remember this error... Something about dll initialization or
something. It's going to be very painful to diagnose. I recall that it
took me quite some time to figure this out many years ago.
I would recommend using something a little newer. Beyond that, I'm
afraid that I cannot offer any better advice.

Hello friends,
Any of you have tried insight-5.1.1 on cygwin?.
I am able to compile and install. But running ./arm-elf-gdb gives the following error.
"Unable to initialize the application(0xc0000022).Click OK to terminate the application"
Any clue to overcome this problem will help.
thanks & regards
vadiraj
