It may be that the thing that is going wrong is earlier where the ELF symbols
are being aliased. There is another thing that my testing kicks out which is
somewhat similar:

This seems to work now with the latest released libabigail 1.8.2 and so I will
close this bug as works for me and move similar issues which may or may not be
related to their own bug.
