I don't think there is any guarantee for GLIBC_PRIVATE symbols to stay
around, and mixing related libraries from different versions of glibc
isn't supported either.

So you would have to build libxcrypt for your old system to replace its
libcrypt.so.1 if you want to use the new glibc there.
