Dear Colleagues,

NGI works hard to give its readers inside access to major natural gas events. Recently on behalf of NGI, I attended and moderated at the Mexico Infrastructure Projects Forum in Monterrey, Mexico. I had a great time discussing the future of the Mexico natural gas industry with top executives from around the world.

In addition to moderating, I covered this conference as a journalist for Natural Gas Intelligence. Please see a preview below of one of the articles that came out of this important industry gathering:

Continued Mexico Natural Gas Market Growth Said Necessary for Local Price Index Formation https://ipa1.realmagnet.land/4th-MIPF-Conference-Edition

A local price index for natural gas in Mexico will develop over time, but it will likely depend on increased production of domestic natural gas resources, a group of experts said earlier this month.

"My perception is that we won't have local price indexes any time soon," said Ternium México's Gerardo Rojas.

As de-regulated natural gas trading and indexes continually evolve in Mexico, we feel it is important to spread information and transparency about both opportunities and challenges to this market. I hope you enjoy NGI's coverage of this event as much as I enjoyed attending.
