Hi,
Both http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/GitMirror and
http://gcc.gnu.org/git/?p=gcc.git;a=summary
claim there is http access to the repo at
http://gcc.gnu.org/git/gcc.git
But this doesn't work (anymore?).
It redirects to http://gcc.gnu.org/git/gcc.git/
and gives a 403 Forbidden.

My apologies, it does work for plain git clones.
It is just incredibly slow...
