We've received a complaint that the guile mailing list is stalled.

Is there anything special about this list? From the qmail list logs,
I can see that it seems to be communicating with guile-user@gnu.org
a lot. Is there some communication between gnu.org and sourceware that
could be causing a problem?

Mikael Djurfeldt <djurfeldt@nada.kth.se> moved the list to gnu.org
(guile-user@gnu.org) and asked for help disabling the guile@sourceware
list. I did that around the end of August; I set it up so no one
could subscribe or unsubscribe from guile@, I unsubscribed everyone, and
I subscribed the single addr guile-user@gnu.org. With luck, any mail
sent to guile@sourceware will be forwarded to guile-user@gnu.

The user should be told to send mail directly to the gnu.org list
as a workaround. I'm pretty sure the guile forwarding worked at
some point, and nothing has changed since then. A quick look over
the web archives would be an easy way to confirm this, but all of
cygnus.com is unreachable right now and the guile home page on
gnu.org doesn't have any links to the real web archives on gnu.org
(all the links on the guile web page are pointing to sourceware).

I'll cc Mikael on this.

This is not a problem on the sourcware side. There is currently
problems with the mailinglist software on the GNU machine which runs
the guile mailing list.

Other people are currently working on fixing this. Right now, I don't
even have access to the administration functions of the Guile list.

Sorry,
Mikael
