The entire repo has been converted to SVN. This obviously doesn't fix the
almost 7 year old broken links, but is it enough reason to close this bug
report at least?

Nothing has happened on this front for seven years, and the value of these
pages has diminished to close to non-existent so after pondering a bit I
believe we really should close this one out as WONTFIX and am doing this now.
