bugzilla email issues

I have two issues which I suppose are related:

1) I recently commited a patch for open bugs on Bugzilla, with appropriate PR
numbers and such.  Instead of messages being posted to the bugs, I received
email from gcc-bugzilla@gcc.gnu.org that said:

there is already an account with the login name froydnj@gcc.gnu.org.

...which seems odd, but it might be related to:

2) I recently attempted to change the email address that froydnj@gcc.gnu.org
redirects to; unfortunately, I didn't see http://gcc.gnu.org/svnwrite.html and
tried changing my email under User Preferences/Name and Password in bugzilla.

Is the second issue responsible for the first?  My account switchover is
scheduled for completion sometime tomorrow; will the issues go away after
that?  And since I screwed up the email redirection, I'm planning on changing
my bugzilla account back to froydnj@gcc.gnu.org; is that going to cause heartache?
