I can't reproduce this; wget shows the xml header on line 1.

That URL renders fine for me.
It produces the same output as this:

    http://sources.redhat.com/git/gitweb.cgi

Did something just update firefox on your system,
out from under a running instance?
I've seen errors like yours when that has happened.
