I am getting this error message whenever I try to check out one particular
bug (47620). It does not happen with, say, bug 47630.

No but it was filed on bugzilla as
http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=50297 and Frédéric Buclin
was looking into it.
