Dear maintainers,

is it possible to delete comments from the GCC bugzilla database?

I'm asking because in
http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=56047, comment 12 - 14, a
private conversation was posted on bugzilla completely by accident. It
does not contain any information relevant to the bug and only clutters
the PR, and I was asked whether it is possible to remove it.

I hope this is possible and I apologize for any inconveniences it may cause.

Best regards,
Janus Weil

As far as I know, no. There is a fifteen-year-old (!!!!) open
bugzilla feature request for this sort of thing. Some bugzilla
installations have local patches, but ours doesn't.

Huh, too bad.

I just found https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=282657,
which is more recent, but also unfixed.

It's funny that this should not be possible at all. Doesn't bugzilla
ever have any trouble with spam? There is regular spamming on both the
mailing lists and the wiki, so I whonder why the spammers haven't
discovered bugzilla yet.

Anyway, if you come across some way to do this, it would be great.
Otherwise we have to live with it. It's not *that* bad in this case, I
guess.

Thanks for your supoort,
Janus
