To confirm what I said on IRC - I think a thorough check of everything 
against backups for corruption (and corresponding restores of everything 
lost/corrupted) is needed.  I see e.g. for GCC SVN:

$ svn log -v -r199494 svn://gcc.gnu.org/svn/gcc
svn: E160006: No such revision 199494

or in a checkout of trunk "svn log -v" produces output ending with:
