Looking into a user report issue, I realized that we are still running 
texinfo/makeinfo 4.8 on sourceware when version 4.13 was release three 
years ago.

Can we get this updated, please?


(I generally notice that we are running RHEL 4 on that machine which
is reaching the end of its regular lifecycle soon.)

I tried to install a newer version of texinfo but ran into dependency hell.
I'll poke at it later but, you're right, we really should just update the
entire machine.
