I'm currently having problems accessing the gcc repo with ssh. This
seems to boil down to
$ ssh ro@gcc.gnu.org
You don't exist, go away!
This worked fine yesterday night. Could someone please have a look?

That's only an indication that you (like most sourceware users) have
a restricted shell that forbids direct logons like this. In the
logs, I see several subsequent svn operations, so I assume things
are working for you now.

checkout attempts.

Indeed: it turned out to be a local problem, caused by mess-up during a
ypmaster migration. Sorry for the noise.
