There were some C++ compliance patches committed this week. You could
try getting a fresh update to see if the problems go away.

I did post this to the sid mailing list, but All I got a few days later
was a sid cvs snapshot.
Our sid package has a cvs snapshot of 2002-10-28. I'll check if there is
a later version.

I'm sure there will be. Alternatively, you can check it straight out
of CVS to be sure you've got the latest version.

What toolchain is this? Do you need sid for this target? If not, why
is sid in your source tree at all? If so, we should continue
discussing this on sid@sources.redhat.com; there is no need to bother
gdb people.
