    Enable Kbuild-like quiet builds
    
    This enables much cleaner build output from automake.  To re-enable the
    verbose commands, pass --disable-silent-rules to configure, or use V=1
    at make time.
    
    * configure.ac: Enable AM_SILENT_RULES by default.
