Guys
Is it necessary to apply some patch to cpython source for tracing
python (2.7) in Ubuntu?
I'm googling and find many guys are talking about patches for python,
but I don't know current status :(

Hey guys
Are python2.7 binaries from official packages compiled with systemtap markers?

Yeah, upstream python.org status of sys/sdt.h support is unclear:
https://bugs.python.org/issue4111
https://bugs.python.org/issue13405
have been open for some seven years (!!).
Here is the Fedora patch for python 2.7+.
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/python.git/tree/00055-systemtap.patch

Thanks, Frank
I'm using jcea's patches at
https://www.jcea.es/artic/python_dtrace.htm and build cpython and
systemtap myself. Now everything is okay :)
