Bug ID: 20601
Summary: __get_skb_iphdr() failing on 32-bit rawhide
Product: systemtap
Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: runtime
Assignee: systemtap at sourceware dot org
Reporter: dsmith at redhat dot com
Target Milestone: ---
On 32-bit rawhide, I'm seeing the following:
====
# stap -e 'probe tcp.ipv4.receive { printf("%s\n", saddr) }'
ERROR: read fault [man error::fault] at 0x0000005a (addr) near operator '@cast'
at /usr/local/share/systemtap/tapset/linux/ip.stp:154:10
WARNING: Number of errors: 1, skipped probes: 1
WARNING: /usr/local/bin/staprun exited with status: 1
Pass 5: run failed. [man error::pass5]
====
This is happening because the __get_skb_iphdr() function is returning the wrong
value on 32-bit platforms. That function worked on RHEL6-era kernels, but it
fails on newer 32-bit kernels.
