            Bug ID: 26098
Summary: dtrace should have command line options to configure
                    CC and CFLAGS
           Product: systemtap
           Version: unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: translator
Assignee: systemtap at sourceware dot org
Reporter: doko at debian dot org
  Target Milestone: ---

Please consider adding command line optionns for dtrace, configuring CC and
CFLAGS explicitly. The current way to take those from the environment is
undocumented, and ugly.

Mark Wielaard <mark at klomp dot org> changed:

           What |Removed |Added

--- Comment #1 from Mark Wielaard <mark at klomp dot org> ---
So, you would like a --cc="<cmd/path>" and --cflags="..." option?
Does the dtrace command on Solaris take such arguments?

yes, that's what I suggest. I don't have an idea about Solaris.
