The fix might not have been the elfutils update, but something else. It still
fails on kernel-2.6.18-123.el5.x86_64 with the same systemtap and elfutils
versions as in comment #4.

This seems fixed in elfutils-0.137-3.fc9.x86_64 (against systemtap git trunk
588b83de, 2.6.26.6-79.fc9.x86_64).

Need to come up with a simpler testcase. Can try to reproduce with a simple
iteration case, e.g. elfutils dwflmodtest or eu-unstrip -n.  with -K<version>
you can check the problem kernels (offline mode).
