suffering from acute alcohol poisoning:

* stupor

Too bad about yours. Can't get *too* worked up about theirs.

It's really early in the day to be drinking too. I had to sneak one
from my special flask.

I'm going to write a mailing list filter to delay these until after 12PM
EDT. I think that should allow the widest range of acceptable quaffing
amongst the participants of this mailing list.

;) Not bad, but you omitted the obligatory
many-repeats-of-a-single-key-from-a-face-pressed-on-the-keyboard followed by
line noise and "NO CARRIER".

Actually, I would have thought that the face-pressed-on-keyboard stuff
would start at "unconsciousness". Not sure how he managed a "check" for
that one ;-).

Hmm, I didn't realize it was *that* bad. Don't suppose anyone's compiled
the list of which rules they tripped? (Solely for my convenience
determining just how much I "need" to imbibe, of course :-). Er...
especially since it doesn't match *any* of the rules I have, that I can
see. Maybe we need to add some?)

You'll be pleased to know that we have no Chinese subscribers to this
mailing list and only one person from Australia - but he is subscribed
to the digest so it doesn't really matter. He also doesn't "participate"
so I think my proposed change still works.

Just catching up on about 3 months worth of cygwin ml digests and
cygwin-talk ml posts from here in Australia and noticed this. If by
digests you mean cygwin-talk ml digests, then I'm another in Oz.
Otherwise... I feel a little famous ;-)

You're quoting me but you're vastly overestimating my ability to
remember discussions from three months ago with no context. However I
doubt that I'd recognize a hotmail.com account as belonging to someone
from Australia.
