Searching for the popular compiler produces unexpected results

    $ cygcheck -p 'g++.exe'
    Found 0 matches for g .exe

    $ cygcheck -p 'g\+\+.exe'
    Found 0 matches for g\ \ .exe

How can I include a literal '+' (plus character) in my search?
