 Sure, I've attached them.  I think :P

 Thanks again,

 # This file is a shell script that caches the results of configure
 # tests run on this system so they can be shared between configure
 # scripts and configure runs. It is not useful on other systems.
 # If it contains results you don't want to keep, you may remove or edit it.
 #
 # By default, configure uses ./config.cache as the cache file,
 # creating it if it does not exist already. You can give configure
 # the --cache-file=FILE option to use a different cache file; that is
 # what configure does when it calls configure scripts in
 # subdirectories, so they share the cache.
 # Giving --cache-file=/dev/null disables caching, for debugging configure.
 # config.status only pays attention to the cache file if you give it the
 # --recheck option to rerun configure.

 ==================================================================

 PR 5392 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug:
 http://gcc.gnu.org/cgi-bin/gnatsweb.pl?cmd=view%20audit-trail&database=gcc&pr=4856

 Jonathan, can you provide your config.log and config.cache files from
 trying to build gcc 3.0.3 on Suse 6.2? The test for getrusage() seems
 to be broken on Suse 6.2......

 State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback
 State-Changed-By: rodrigc
 State-Changed-When: Mon Nov 12 20:09:16 2001
 State-Changed-Why:

 THANK YOU FOR YOUR SPEEDY REPLY! HERE ARE THE ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS:

     (1) What Linux distribution are you running? What version?

 SUSE 6.3, BUT WITH UPDATE TO THE LATEST KERNEL 2.4.13.

     (2)  What version of glibc?

 SUSE 6.3 INCLUDES /usr/i486-glibc20-linux/lib/libc.so.6 AND
 i486-glibc20-linux/egcs-2.91.66

     (3) Do you have a file on your system /usr/include/bits/resource.h
          or /usr/include/sys/resource.h which defines RUSAGE_CHILDREN?

 /usr/include/bits/resource.h defines RUSAGE_CHILDREN, BUT NOT
 /usr/include/sys/resource.h.

 BUT I ALSO HAVE IN THE SOURCE TREE OF THE LINUX KERNEL

 /usr/src/linux-2.4.13/include/linux/resource.h
 /usr/src/linux-2.4.13/include/asm-i386/resource.h

 DO I HAVE TO LINK TO THESE H-FILES INSTEAD?

     (4) In the gcc directory, there should be a file
          config.cache which is created. Are there some lines
     in that file that looks like:
     ac_cv_header_sys_resource_h=
     ac_cv_func_getrusage=

 IN config.cache I FIND THE FOLLOWING VALUES:

 ac_cv_header_sys_resource_h=${ac_cv_header_sys_resource_h=no}
 ac_cv_func_getrusage=${ac_cv_func_getrusage=yes}

     What values are on those lines?

     Thanks.

 MANY THANKS TO YOU!

 -Michael
