Not easy to trace back the exact version, reported git hash does not exist. It was reported fixed in https://launchpad.net/gcc-arm-embedded/4.9/4.9-2014-q4-major , containing "gdb: 7.8 with mainline backports", with git hash matching gdb release 7.8.2.
