We can only set breakpoints using a line number. An optional column number
should be possible so that it's not required to step to the right thing.

we have

  break filename:linenum

whe should also have

  break filename:linenum(:colnum)?

(and same in MI mode)

GCC has enabled column numbers in debug info a few years ago, and I think clang
had them a while also.  GDB was never updated to leverage that, it's just
waiting for somebody to do the work.  In addition to allow putting breakpoints
on line:column locations, it was proposed to have new step-like commands to
step "statements", which would step until reaching a new column / location,
even if on the same line.
