Can you give me more context? What are you doing when the mesasge
appears?

The message is definitely from gdb (remember: "insight" is the GUI and a
bunch of glue code on top of gdb). Normally the message appears when the
user attempts to use shared-library commands on a debugger built for a
target with no shared library support, like any development board.

Open a console window and enter "show version". Cut and paste the output
into your email. Where did you get Insight?

I don't know if this is already what you are doing, but from your email,
things are a little out-of-order. After starting insight, the first
thing to do is load your executable (File->Open... or one of the
shortcuts at the bottom of the File menu). Then configure the target
connection (File->Target Settings...). Finally click the Run button on
the toolbar. You do not need to manually connect, download, etc. The run
button will do whatever it takes to get the app running on your target.

So, can you successfully connect using gdb (without Insight)?
