I have heard that having a mattermost instance would be nice.  I hear the C++
GCC front-end folks are using an instance for their work. I was hearing the
gfortan folks would like to have an instance too:

Maybe you're thinking of the ISO C++ committee. I don't think there's one for
G++ (unless they're keeping it secret!)

Remereth @ OSUOSL has kindly started setting up a mattermost instance for us.
At least one tool-shed question remains: what to call it in DNS?  Is this only
relevant to gfortran or can/should it be shared?  I am not aware of a current
Mattermost<->IRC bridge facility that could make this instance relevant to the
various IRC communities.
