Btw. as mentioned earlier I could not manage to get this string and
others translated in "objdump --help". My layman understanding is that
this is due to the strings being in the "opcodes" message catalog and
objdump is using the "binutils" one:
$ LANG=de_DE.utf8 gdb --args objdump --help
...
(gdb) b bindtextdomain
(gdb) run
...
Breakpoint 1, __bindtextdomain
