In the strict sense, no. These are due to changes in the Objective-C ABI in
later darwin SDKs. I haven't checked all of these yet, but I suspect most will
disappear is --systroot= is used to select the previous MacOS X SDK (e.g.
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-bugs/2012-12/msg00586.html).

This is a real new fail - however, it remains to be seen what the origin is.
The system (clang) compiler generates the same output as we do. So (a) the
fault might lie in the vendor's library - or (b) the interface might have been
changed.

yes, most of the fixes are code-gen ones - so I think we need them on at least
one branch that can be built with c++98.

10.x .. not sure if it's necessary to go back further (let's see there might be
