It's not, the comparison is a lot more nuanced than binary comparisons. 
  I can understand someone concluding that CLAs are superior for their 
risk/benefit tolerance, but I don't agree with them.  I have concluded 
for myself (and projects I would create myself) that DCO is adequate for 
all practical purposes.

Agreed, I am definitely not in the business of giving legal advice and 
my opinions on that are my own.
