I downloaded the source tar file for gdb 12.1 and applied the patch. The patch applies without any issues however I get a compile failure: error: ‘floatformats_ieee_quad’ was not declared in this scope; did you mean ‘floatformats_ia64_quad’? I am assuming your backport of my patch fixes that issue. If you can attach the backport of the IEEE 128 support patch that you used, I will see if I can reproduce the issue on my system. I am not sure it is worth me trying to do the backport as well since I can't guarantee the backports will match.
