I've just noticed this in the last few days, while I've been playing a very
long Modern game (latest WinTCL from CVS). When it is time to move a bomber
in mid-flight, I often find that it has fuel 30/30, even though it has been
out from base for at least a turn. Also, just now I moved an infantry which
was down to 1/6 fuel; the next turn it had 2/6 (and no other units were
nearby to transfer fuel).

One other thing about the modern game. I find that mines repeatedly
disappear, so I have to keep re-laying them again and again with an engineer
or mine ship. And no, no enemy units are bumping into them.

Eh, that should of course be mines, and not miners, but they still need
food (and also petrol) in order to survive. Which is also kind of weird,
but how the modern game actually works.

Having just tried out another lhs.g game, I simply cannot see how the mines
are fueled. They are born with no ammo, will neither 't'ake any from the
engineer that made them (or from any other unit sharing their hex), nor can
such units 'g'ive them anything (and I've just tested this out at length).
They do not happily resupply themselves from nearby units or towns, as I now
understand other units are supposed to do - and so they drop off the map 1
turn in 4! How can I save my mines!!? Am I missing something about
resupply?

Robert.
